hey i was wondering if were allowed to have two different boxes for the contoller. like have one for the driver and one for the co driver and connect the ports to the OI when we get to the station and this way we'll be spaced out more without having such a bulky contoller.
is this legal? |

Re: Question about a controller.
Sean,
I think you are asking about operator station controller. Teams are left open on the design for this and teams come up with some pretty fancy designs. There are some limiting factors. The rule book gives a specification for the size of the OI so inspectors will be checking ... <R101> The OPERATOR CONSOLE designed by the team must fit on the 60” wide by 12” deep shelf in the Alliance Station (excluding any items that are held or worn by the DRIVERS during the MATCH). You might want to keep in mind that robots will be hitting the end of the field and a OI control system might be knocked onto the ground when a robot contacts your end of the field. |
