International Baccalaureate Program (IB)

Has anyone here on CD ever done the IB program through grade 9-12. Grades 9 and 10 would be Pre-IB. This program is for teens who want more out of their education and maintain a good average in school. I might be taking this program but I would like to know if anyone has any opinions on this program (i.e. has done it and recommends it)???

Re: International Baccalaureate Program (IB)

I be in IB now, and I'm sure you heard it before, but it's a lot of hard work, A LOT. I'm nearing the second semester of my Junior year, and although I was a top notch student in 9th and 10th grade the first 9 weeks of IB were tough. The work load is substantially more than pre-IB, but from what I've been told, it's worth it.

Re: International Baccalaureate Program (IB)

At my school you don't, but others may be different.

I've heard that it is worth all the work, and if you do well on the IB test you can get college credit so you can skip all the introductory course, which would nice.

Re: International Baccalaureate Program (IB)

Most of the kids on our team is in IB (we'd like more "normal" students as well but robotics doesn't seem to interest them unfortunately).
Also unfortunately they don't post here much.
