under overpass

pretty simple question concerning my team, can you go under the over pass and push out from the bottom, or does it have to be pushed out from the back, as shown by the robots in the animation?

Re: under overpass

You can push a ball off from under the overpass.

Re: under overpass

You cannot reach back and grab the ball once you have passed the finish line. This would violate the "you cannot cross a plane you have already crossed" rule (i don't have my manual handy, otherwise i'ld give you the number and exact wording). The only way around this is to hit the part of the ball that extends past the finish line (its not a big target). It is much easier (and less likely to break a rule) to hit the ball from underneath (which is legal) or grab it from behind.

Re: under overpass

It is legal for you to reach under and then across the line, then come back and hit the ball as long as part of your robot stays in the same quadrant as the overpass.
