Go to Post We have donut eating contests to see who has the best legs. We paint our pigs. We argue about which time zone we are in. About 400,000 of us gather together to watch cars go around in a circle. We also build robots.Yep, our cultural norm is a bit different. - Andy Baker [more]

the second hint was the coordinates to Copely Square in Boston, and the last number if used as a heading pointed to a statue of the tortoise and the hare (race), and more importantly, the finish line of the boston marathon.
The last hint, Vets Hurdling FIRST Tetras, unscrambles to DriveStraightTurnLeft, which was the code for the game manual minus some punctuation. and again, as Otaku said, it is a predrain for build season. People like me staying up till 3 in the morning trying to figure out what the game hint means, and even when we go to bed, we just lay there, wondering what the hint means even though we will never figure out what it is, although we were close...

This is a nice summary, except that I don't remember Dave saying anything about the Boston Marathon finish line, and the folks in the threads on this had collected photographic evidence that said line is a block to the west. The Square is really just where people collect up after having crossed the line about 100 yards back. Am I remembering incorrectly?

The Tortoise/Hare theme seems really appropriate for this game, to me. I suspect that the Hybrid Period will belong to the Hare, while the Teleoperated Period will belong to the Tortoise. By the latter, I mean that an alliance that only zips around the track will probably not do as well as one that hurdles effectively (a process that I expect will probably require slowing down - or even stopping - in most cases, especially if you include chasing down a trackball). It will be interesting to see what really works!
