Arm Design Projects-help

Arm Design Projects-help
I wonder if anybody can send me who to designed arm so that the user can put the length, weight. As projects for my engineering computing class.
Such as what kind of motor the length of arms, more theoretical I need.
I lock in. http://www.chiefdelphi.com/media/papers/2036
Two Excel sheets design the reduction to an arm. But is locks for my very nice but without understanding.

Re: Arm Design Projects-help

Greetings!

I'm not quite sure I understand the question, but if you're looking for an arm simulation you may find this to be useful: http://fixermark.googlepages.com/ArmSimulator.zip

It's a simulator I crafted recently that uses Panda3D (which you can get at http://www.panda3d.org) to render a simple one-joint arm with a PID controller. You can modify the length and mass of the arm. This simulator was designed to teach programming concepts, so it isn't hugely accurate from a mechanical engineering standpoint. But if you're looking for a place to start, this might be useful.

Best of luck!
