SEARCH SYSTEM

I have something to say to chief delphi users, there were times when i needed help with "robotics" related topics, so i would post something; but apparently someone already posted the same thing on another topic, and then some users that spend hours and hours on this website tells me to stop spamming and look for the same topic. WELL LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING... HOW ABOUT YOU TRY TO USE THE THE SEARCH SYSTEM NOW!!!!! I'm not going to spend days looking for something, how about we use the gracious professionalism and help each other in this place, come on!! what's wrong with answering the question again, and if you don't like people posting the same thing... then just don't answer.

Re: SEARCH SYSTEM

Most members of the CD community are happy to help one another. But searching before you post is standard forum etiquette... It helps to keep all posts on the same subject together, and makes for a less-cluttered forum.

Re: SEARCH SYSTEM

If part of your problem is that you don't know how to use the search system, PM me. It shouldn't take days to use.

Gracious professionalism does dictate that I help you, yes, but if you don't mind, I'd like to help others at the same time. So you get directed to search (or maybe the relevant thread) so that your question may be answered where others who have the same or a similar problem have asked. Often, multiple people have the same question. This way, we save portal space for more threads so more people get their questions answered

I personally like to send people to an active related thread. For example, it saves portal space if all the IR signaling questions are in one thread instead of five. It saves time because you only have to check one place. Maybe you don't even need to ask the question...because it has already been answered. Or you can join the discussion. You get an answer, we get another viewpoint, we both win.

Re: SEARCH SYSTEM

thanks, yeah i know how to use the search system, the problem is that sometimes you cant find what you need in time, and when i said "days was only to emphasize my point, i dont mind looking i always look first, the thing is that there are people that just get "pissed off" and basically tell you to not spam when you are only looking for help
