Re: Gyros

The gear tooth sensor is a basic hall effect sensor which can sense each tooth of a sprocket/gear in order to measure speed or distance traveled. You could get one of these from sparkfun.com, or you could use a different method of measuring wheel rotation, such as an encoder, which in my opinion are a little easier to use.
