Transmissions

Do the 2008 rules allow us to use DeWalt transmissions. If so, are they compatible with any KOP motors and where can we buy one?

The Dewalts transmissions are allowed (check your flowchart!!!).

They will mate with The CIM motors.

You should be able to buy them directly from DeWalt.

Great transmissions!! This will be the third year my team has used them, and they're absolutely brilliant!

You can find some details of how to put them together here.

And, if you're interested, there's also a CAD model of the exterior of the motor and transmission at the bottom of the page here. It's useful for mocking things up in CAD before you build your robot.
