I would guess that unless a robot is supporting your weight (which is a specific exempetion for the purposes of the definition of 'hanging') it would not count as off the floor. Rule SC1, Subpoint 3: Any robot hanging will add ten (10) points to its alliance score. ***A robot is considered 'hanging' if it is not touching the ramp or the playing field surface. A robot is only allowed to attach itself to the horizontal bar directly above the ramp or can be picked up by it's alliance partner. *** : I suppose this is another clarification for FIRST to make. : Anybody have a better recollection of the rules & can help us out? : Joe J. |
