The only thing that I can see is you are taking engagement away from your sprocket. Usually you would tension so that you are getting more chain wrap on the sprocket. I don't think it will be a problem though.

True. With the springs we're using, though they don't like like much, the chain has almost no give. I, also, doubt that'll be a problem in this case.
