Fuse Blow

We have 16 gauge wire running from the pneumatic compressor to the spike and then 14 gauge wire running from the spike to the snap action circuit breaker. Every few times we run the pneumatic system, the 20 AMP fuse keeps on blowing on the spike. I am confused why this is happening and if anyone can help me on this problem?

Re: Fuse Blow

The compressor can potentially suck more than 20A at turn on, and will blow the fuse in the spike. Per the FRC rules, you can replace it with a 20A circuit breaker.
