Spare Globe Motors

Anyone have any spare globe motors they want to trade for something we have? We burned a few out last year and have learned we can't purchase any spares this year. Globe isn't making any more. Let me know what you'd like and perhaps we can trade.

On GM Trucks & Blazers/Jimmys

This motor is part of a gear box used to shift from 4 wheel to 2 wheel drive on GM Trucks.

I believe that it is used on 'CK trucks' (large pickup trucks, Tahoes, & others) as well as on Blazers/Jimmys.

As I recall, GM Service Parts charge about $350 each for them as I recall.

Perhaps a junk yard could do better.

I have the service part number somewhere in my files. I will look for it.

I figured when Globe said they were a one time deal for FIRST and they weren't making them any more it was hopeless. You're great! I'll try a GM junk yard. If you find the part number let me know.

Joe, did you ever come up with the GM part number? We could also use the GM part number associated with the seat motor, if one exists.

Thanks.

Got the Service Part Number

Okay, here is the GM Service Part Number: 15636696

As of last year, it listed for $383!!!!

It is called a 'Transfer Case Encoder Motor'

Note that you have to buy a larger assembly to get the motor you really want.

I believe this is the part number from GM's 'K' trucks prior to model year 1997. As I have said, it is also used on GM's Jimmy & Blazer, though I don't have the part number for those.

I have a couple of spare globe motors that I could trade for window motors or van door motors.
Interested?

I would like to trade for the window lift motors. My team did not use either of them, or any of the parts, we could probably even give you the whole window lift bag.

Jason
