Does anybody know where to obtain a lead screw nut that is not an anti backlash model as in small parts or does anybody know the part number for a normal nut from small parts or the manafacturer of the one in the kit??

Small Parts only has anti-backlash nuts. If you don't need the anti-backlash feature they can be disassembled, leaving the flanged drive nut. (We did so last year w/ heavy duty nuts and they worked well)The manual gives Kerk Motion Products, Inc as the kit screw supplier. If you broke yours, you can get a replacement from FIRST. You might be able to find a spare replacement @ MSC (800)645-7270 or McMaster-Carr. But if you wish to deviate from given screw & nut diameter, lead or length, your stuck w/Small Parts unless you fabricate your own.
