Are there any other teams out there that doesn't have theirs?

Does anyone know who I should email at First about this?

Any answer appreciated. We are begining to panic here.

Sam,

We are not using the pneumatics (I know that this will be a big surprise to most folks ;-)

We may use ours over the summer to play around with, but no plans for them until then.

If you want to drive up to Troy, you can borrow ours until you get yours.

Call me 248.696.5672 to make arrangements.

Continued success to all.

Thank you Joe, that's very kind. We may just do that, as this weekend we plan to be very busy.

We cannot realistically justify the volume used up by the tank. So, just like you, another year goes by where we never used the pneumatics (Except at CDI).

Don't look for any knewmatics on the Bomb Squad robot this year either - such a waste of a beautiful package from SMC. It just doesn't fit the requirements of what we are asked to do.

The tank takes up way too much space with the new 30' height regulation )

Ken,

I don't recall any 30 inch regulation.

Wait a minute! Do you guys mean to tell me that you are actually going over to the OTHER SIDE!?!?!

We have been planning all along to reach OVER the center in order to reach the balls against the far wall ;-)

Maybe we should rethink things a bit.

No Joe, there's no need to rethink things. You're definitely on the right track planning to reach over the goal to pick up the balls on the floor on the far side.

It's sure to be faster than trying to drive over there.

In fact, if you make the machine stationary, you'd have all sorts of extra motors to power that arm!

Tom

Joe,
I thought we were going to keep the multi extension 24 foot extender arm a secret until the MI regional. Now other teams will copy and be reaching over the goal to the wall instead of going under.

Hi Samuel,

I'm not sure if you're in the Detroit area, but you can call the distributor for SMC, David Johnson at 248 293 3322 in Rochester Hills, Michigan, where they happen to be. He will be most helpful in seeing that you get your parts. The problem may be that whoever coordinates your team did NOT give an address, or a correct address for the delivery of these parts. David will get them to you as soon as you call him.
