Hi again,
I was wondering again, due to time constraints and the
unavailability of the pneumatics kit. Would first grant
more time before shipping to work on the robot because
we have not recieved the kit and were thinking of
structuring our design around it.
Does anyone have any insight on this question, answers
or reply's are welcom

Highly doubtful. They really don't have time to give - robots must be shipped in order to make it to the first competition weekend. FIRST doesn't give extensions - it's not a true life situation.

Has your team tried contacting the company responsible for your pnematics and see when they sent it out??? IF you haven't, your best bet would be to simply design your bot with out the pneumatics, or even design two, one using pneumatics when they become available... Who knows, we have bailed on the pneumatics, they are sitting in a box at our work place...

Sorry to inform you - no way Jose ! The FIRST folks are rule followers with very little room for negotiations. Time extensions have not been something that has been possible to even consider regardless of late shipment of materials. They just aren't flexible when it comes to time, due to the extreme pressure that would result from the other teams that would inundate them with every reason under the sun, why they should also be allowed an extension. My advise is - DO not count on a single minute of time over the already posted shipment day and time! Good luck, hopefully you guys can get the minihules? to assist in a quick redesign!
