Can anyone give me a diagram to hook up the IR sensor to the RC board?

Full instructions on use and installation and the schematic are on the FIRST website in the additional documentation link under Section 8, I believe.

I don't see it. I see a description for the board but not instructions beyond that video that really didn't show the wiring very well

The FIRST documentation gives you the pinout of the IR board. One or both of the ground and one or both of the Vcc pins get connected to your ground and supply voltage source respectively. The other pins would get connected to PWM cables going to your digital inputs. All other needed information is in the FIRST documentation.
