I got to talk with Mr. Flowers briefly last year. I told him that I had wanted to be part of FIRST since about 1980.
 That's when I saw something on television about the 2.70 course, with its kit of parts, design/build time, and competition.It was nearly a quarter-century later when my son entered high school and I joined the TechnoKats as a mentor.
