Need a quick answer!!!!

Can we use the 2006/2007 CIM (FR801-001) and cast gear box on this year's bot for a function other than driving the robot? We are already using two of these (CIM + toughbox) to drive the 2008 bot. Also does anybody know the output torque from the 2006/2007 CIM and cast gear box assembly?

Re: Need a quick answer!!!!

You can use CIMs from past years, but the 2006 kit gearbox is no longer avalible, and cannot be used. It would probably be best to either use a banebots planetary, or a toughbox or single speed gearbox from andymark, as they have similar outputs.

You can use any legal gearbox for any function, though, provided that that function isn't along the lines of sledgehammer.
