EASY C PRO help tank drive issues!!! can any 1 solve this programming issue?

guys im confused on easy c pro how do you program tank drive i am having some trouble!!

Now im guessing that the following is the programming for tank drive

While 1==1

Tank 4 drive

Port 2 Port 1
Axis 2 Axis 2

pwm value

left frnt motor . right frnt motor
1 . 2

left rear motor . right rear motor
3 . 4

this seems right to me tell me if there is any reason for one entire side to not work!!
and the other is having problems too when the jstik is pulled back the gears are making a funny noise
but when directly hooked to the battery it works perfectly although both sides rotate fast in opp directions

my best guess is that you have one of the motors hooked up backwards on one side of the drive train, so on the side that isn't working the motors are fighting each other causing them not to move. You might also want to check your pwm cables and Y cables for this setup.

As for the gears making funny noises you should check the assembly of your gearboxes and then make sure you add a lubricant. Lithium grease is commonly used.

For testing purposes you should have your robot off the ground on blocks. Check your victors...are the lights solid? Also realize that the output terminals for your victors should be wired opposite on each side. The motors for one side will be Red to M+ black to M-. On the other side you should have Red to M- and Black to M+.

How many CIMs? 2 per a side? 2 on one transmission on each side? 4 transmissions with one cim for each wheel?
