Re: how do i change the db?

dB is a measure of sound pressure. The volume of your recording was too high when you recorded it, the sound may have overpowered your gear, causing a nasty clipping sound. In iMovie look for the volume checkbox, then drag the line down to change the volume. If the problem is from gain in the computer you're fine. If the problem is from gain in the original recording there is nothing you can do.
