Shipping via FedEx issues?

Hey all,
Not sure if any of you called FedEx yet to schedule shipment.
I followed the FIRST instructions and called FedEx only to find that the "air" shipment division is no longer doing the FIRST free shipments and that it was transferred to the surface truck division.
They estimated our shipping from Hawaii to the VCU regional to take 15 days by boat/ground and barely make it in time for the week 2 regional. Last year, when we did NJ, it took only 3 days by air from Hawaii to NJ, plus the fact that our regional was during week 1. If the VCU regional was during week 1, we would have not made it.
Any other teams have similar issues getting to/from regionals based on the "new" free type of FedEx shipments. I tried calling FIRST but they are closed for the weekend. I'm sure these questions may come up for teams going to regionals far away from home. We still have to compete in our Hawaii regional during week 5, then use FedEx to get to championships in Atlanta. Should get there, but who knows, what if it doesn't?
