Possible Battery on EBay ($15.00)
Posted by Quentin Lewis.
Engineer on team #42, P.A.R.T.S - Prececision Alvirne Robotics Technology Systems, from Alvirne, Hudson NH. Posted on 3/12/2000 8:05 PM MST I am not positive about this, but I just saw a seller on EBay that seems to have a bunch of NEW Gellcells that look to be just like the battery used on this this year's robot. I am not positive about it, but it kind of 'looks' and feels like the right size to me. (I don't remember the measurements or Amp-Hour rating of the FIRST supplied unit) Yes, I know, this bettery would not be able to be used in the competition....but it might be nice to have a spare or two around for practice/demo meets. Anyways, you tell me if this battery is the same. You can see (and bid on it) at: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI...item=278292919 Enjoy, -Quentin |

The ones we have purchased are not exactly like the ones this year but are functionaly identical to the ones this year. I believe that the batteries this year are 17.2 Ah Joe Ross Team 330 |
