Other on team #188, Woburn Robotics, from Woburn Collegiate and Canada 3000, ScotiaBank, Royal Bank Financial. Posted on 3/13/2000 10:21 AM MST Thank you for being so helpful, Huskies ! When you were working so hard on your own robot, to be so gracious about helping us with the loan of equipment was unexpectedly good of you, and a really spirit booster. Mark, our Team's 'animus', was really impressed in his dealings with you, and let us all know about it. Thanks again. Team 188 :-) |

It continues to amaze and thrill me that the spirit of cooperation wins out over cutthroat competition at FIRST events. I'm glad it does - we got a lot of help from other teams (including you guys!) during our struggles on Thurs and Fri. Thats one area where veteran teams like yours and ours can really make a difference in showing the rookies how its done. One of our hourly UAW technicians (a brilliant guy, he helps us fully bake a lot of our ideas), who had never seen an actual competition, was most impressed by the cooperation among teams that went on in the pits and on the field. He was totally blown away after seeing it live! His observations reinforce (in my mind anyway) that we're doing the right thing by sinking so much of our free time into this crazy 'sport.' Good luck to you guys, and say hi to Ian and the rest of your team from us! Ken |
