Last Day, how did it go?

So, its pretty much the last day, for us we went to a local technical college to drop the robot off. We had a shipping reception with all of the sponsors and some media there to look at the robot and what not, but it happen to be the first time we ever tested the robot.....ever. And it didn't work as good as we thought it would, so we have some coding stuff to do at the competition.

The season went well! I'm extremely excited for the regional! After some practice with the robot at Pascack (props to them!) with team 1676, the drivers got a feel for Overdrive. All I can say is ...LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

Re: Last Day, how did it go?

I worked for about 13 hours today, and our grabber isn't quite ready for prime time. We're close, though--we should be able to get it together on Thursday at Chesapeake.

Re: Last Day, how did it go?

It went great! The grabber on our bot could use some work, but this is the first year since we started 3 years ago, that we have shipped a fully functional, finished robot. It feels great!

Re: Last Day, how did it go?

Our last day went well. We have a few issues to work out at our first regional but it's nothing major!
Good luck to all the other teams

We pulled the robot together today in the last few hours...only to find out that the design doesn't work as well as it should. T.T

... how "did" it "go" ... that is assuming it is over. It is still going!

Over? It's not over until we say it is over ....

Best regards from those - to those - who don't sleep!

Re: Last Day, how did it go?

Takes all the fun out of the first regional if you actually get the thing running this early.... We work better under the pressure of competition, no pretty vaulting videos for us this year. (he he he he)

Re: Last Day, how did it go?

Our robot works well with all of our functions. However, with a gyro, accelerometer and rotational encoders, we had just too much problems getting our autonomous to knock the ball off. We called it a day and packed the crate. Felt good to put a closure to the six weeks!

Re: Last Day, how did it go?

We only had to replace some treads and attach all the numbers. we also attached a poker that we refrabricated with a stronger tube. but the majority of the robot wa finished friday night. we got to practice all weekend.

Thanks 1983 for building that practice Field

Re: Last Day, how did it go?

I think most of the team has gotten about 10 hours of sleep in the past three days,(most of us had monday off so we worked right on through) But it was worth it to get that last bit of finising touches on the bot.

Re: Last Day, how did it go?

It wasn't horrible. Reassembled portions of the robot due to painting at the last minute, then drove for about 45 minutes, looked over some legal concerns and then packed it up.

Re: Last Day, how did it go?

Our robot is running great. We can maneuver around the field well, but our hybrid mode is just messed up. Something is wrong with the encoders on the transition. So, who knows whats going to happen in those precious 15 seconds called Hybrid mode.

Re: Last Day, how did it go?

Pretty hetic. Worked from 9am to 11pm, but looks like everything is in order now. Our autonomous doesn't work, but we can straighten that out later.
