How many teams are really using the ir

On all the discussions on the ir, everyone says the ir jams. Is anyone planning to user the ir, we're planning to use dead reckoning autonomous

Re: How many teams are really using the ir

We're planning a primarily dead reckoning auto mode with some slight 'adjustments' made to it by the IR... if the IR doesnt pick up, our auto should still be worth n points, where n belongs to the set of integers > 0.

If anyone is not using their IR Board... Could we use it. We will exchange anything we have that is not on the robot. We are going to the Lone Star Regional.

Re: How many teams are really using the ir

We are planning to use it but had not fully integrated it into our 'Bot when it went into the Box today. Hopefully, it will be all programmed and set to go by the Waterloo Regional (our only trip this year).

Re: How many teams are really using the ir

We plan on using it to "nudge" the robot a bit to the left and right, and to knock the ball off the overpass

Re: How many teams are really using the ir

After reprogramming our IR, we have had good luck with it and we have a great program on it and a good Robocoach. That's about all we can control, when you could have up to six teams sending IR signals, I can foresee problems.

Re: How many teams are really using the ir

We're using ours to move left/right and get the ball off. We're using our fourth button to send it around the track until time is up. We haven't tried using multiple remotes to see if it will jam. We're hoping that it works and doesn't explode or anything...
