[FTC]: Flag Holder

Any recommendations on what to use for an FTC flag holder?

Re: [FTC]: Flag Holder

You have use something that won't damage the flag. Standard things I have seen are:
- A piece of vex square shaft mounted with 2 shaft collars
- Long screws from the kit with a keps or lock nut

Note the hex standoffs are too wide for most staws and will often cause issues.

Re: [FTC]: Flag Holder

Doesn't the flag holder need to be a tube of some sort?

Re: [FTC]: Flag Holder

Nope. The flag, itself, is a straw so the holder can be a vertical piece of shaft. My teams have used shaft successfully for two years now. Those silly FRC folks have the flag thing backwards .

Referrring to <R13> in the interactive manual here:
http://forums.usfirst.org/showpost.p...51&postcount=2
it tells you the dimensions of the flag tube (part of the flag itself)
