Need Gates Belt Sprockets

Team 1991 (Hartford/West Hartford, CT) is in desperate need of the 1" and 2" Gates Power Grip Belt Sprockets that came in this years' KOP (2008.) Any team in CT or MA that is not using them this year, and would like to sell them to us - we can pick up immediately! Gates is backordered on them 3-4 weeks!

Please PM me or post if you can help out.
Thanks.

Re: Need Gates Belt Sprockets

www.mcmaster.com has a nice assortment of timing belt pulleys. Order from them and you will have it tomorrow. If you search for timing belt pulley and select the Power Grip GT series, any of the 5mm pitch pulleys will mesh with the ones in the kit.

There are also many other suppliers online for the same products.

Unhappy Re: Need Gates Belt Sprockets

Thanks, Greg.

McMaster cannot get them for us, as neither can any of the many distributors we have tried online. Can't find them in stock anywhere, either.

Re: Need Gates Belt Sprockets

we had problems getting belt sprockets also so we just had some made by one of our sponsors.

FROM EXPERIENCE
Do not use the plastic belt sprockets....they will warp and torque in no time.

We have ours in our kit how many do you need?

Re: Need Gates Belt Sprockets

We ordered the gates timing belt and pulleys from motion industries. I think the narrowest they had was 9mm. They did not have it online, so you have to call them.
