Bumpers?

Not to pry (just curious!), but is your team considering changing the form of your bumber so that other robots can't drive up on it (since it kinda helped our opponent block your robot in the semifinals of Rutgers)? It seemed to act as a ramp for that robot that got 'unintentionally entangled' with your own. Well, congrats again on a robot that was otherwise rock solid.

Bumpers are fixed - and i'm not so sure about the unintentional action, but in any case the improved design seemed to have worked out okay. We didn't see the flaw in the design until that unfortunate occurance happened. Thanks for inquiring, and keep us in mind if you are seeded and get to pick at the nationals.

We did not change the form, just added something extra so that a team couldn't drive up on us like our opponet did in Rutgers. As a matter of fact, if we did not put that extra thing in we would lost a couple of eliminating rounds against some teams. I am glad that we learned about that flaw that we had!

Sorry for the unfortunate events in NJ. At first we thought this would never happen again. BUT it did in IL. In the time between events we added a piece to prevent another robot from getting hooked on our machine. Boy am I glad that we did this. This added piece (I don't even know what to call it) performed perfectly.

We look forward to the Nationals and possibly another alliance with Team 191.

Mike C.
