Parker Valve

I just wanted to warn people that your parker discharge valve may fail. Our last test before ship the whole system would not charge because the valve was not sealing off in the closed position. luckily we have a parker distributor in town who told me that they are having issues with that valve and that the PV609-2 is being replaced with the MV609-2 which seals better and is less effected by corrosion. He can no longer get the PV version. I hope that FIRST is OK with it, they say and identical valve is fine, and they guy at Parker told me to call him if we had any issues with them. Just wanted to warn people because it would be a shame to see someones robot fail because the $15 valve failed (glad ours failed when it did).
Good luck in the regionals ahead. See some of you in portland

The PV609-2 is still in the Parker catalog. You should still be able to get the valve directly from Parker.

Re: Parker Valve

perhaps, but it is being removed for the part i mentioned because of these issues. This is why he cannot get it.

Sorry, I wasn't disagreeing with you ... just pointing out another possible source for the part since FIRST tends to be very picky about the pneumatics components in the robots.
