**FIRST EMAIL**/Important Championship Information for Regional Qualifiers

Greetings Teams:

If your team qualifies at the Regional event to attend the Championship (CMP), please remember you still must register, via TIMS, in order to attend!

To recap, teams who qualify are:

1. Regional Chairman's Award winners (1 per Regional)
2. Regional Engineering Inspiration Award winners (1 per Regional)
3. Regional Rookie All-Star Award winners (1 per Regional)
4. Regional Champions (3 or 4 per regional event)

Registering for the CMP via TIMS

Please follow the process below:

• Login to TIMS https://my.usfirst.org/frc/tims/site.lasso on the Monday following your event and after 9:00 am EST;
• Proceed to the "Event Registration" section, click on the "Go" link and then "Add Event" to register your team for the Championship accordingly;
• Pay by credit card online or make payment arrangements with Finance by calling 800-871-8326, exts. 450, 478 or 415. Payment by credit card or check must be in by Friday April 4th in order to compete.
• You must both register and make payment arrangements by 5:00 pm EST Tuesday following your event.

IMPORTANT - If you do not register by the Tuesday deadline, your team will once again become ineligible to register for the CMP (i.e., your spot will not be held past the Tuesday deadline!)

Bills of Lading to the CMP for Qualifying Teams

FIRST will provide Shepard Exposition Services (SES) with FedEx Bills of Lading (or airbills) at each regional event for CMP qualifying teams. If your team qualifies and needs one to ship the robot to Atlanta, please see a Shepard Representative.

Shipping Home from CMP - Teams will be given either a Bill of Lading or airbill at CMP registration to ship their robot home .

Making CMP Hotel Reservations

Please go to the Steele Meetings website at http://www.e2mevents002.com/client/viewEvent.do?alias=FIRST08 to make your housing arrangements

IMPORTANT I: Each season there are teams who make CMP hotel arrangements in the hopes they will qualify at a regional event. Teams that do this do so at their own risk. You will be responsible for any cancellation fees incurred per Steele Meetings Policies.

IMPORTANT II: DO NOT ship your robot to the CMP event unless you qualify at your regional event! Teams not registered for the Championship will be responsible to pay all costs associated with shipping their robot to and from the Championship. Only teams officially registered to attend the Championship will have their to and home shipments covered by the FedEx Donation
