An ultimate robotics website?

If you went to a one-stop all-in-one robotics website, what would you want it to contain?

So far it has or will have,
  • Forum
  • User Project Pages
  • Video Tutorials and Tours
  • Free Software Links
  • Articles
  • Tutorials on robotics
  • Blogs
  • Image Gallery
  • Product Search System

Any more ideas?

Hm... I'd call it Chief Delphi.

Otherwise, add some CAD stuff in there, then you're good. Oh, that and machining.

Re: An ultimate robotics website?

Yes, instead of trying to create a new site, maybe asking Brandon to add some of the unused ideas there to the ToDo list. This place has got so much as it is, including a HUGE member-base and multiple mentions (both directly and indirectly) from FIRST itself.

While it is an awesome idea, you've pretty much got it here.

Definantly a place to browse parts and things like that, I'm not sure if that's what you meant by Product Search System

Re: An ultimate robotics website?

Well CD is pretty much all you need but if you're creating a website for yourself I'd add a videos section and a sections for tips and tricks for machining and programming and things of that nature.

Re: An ultimate robotics website?

well I like CD but here are my replies:
  • This is a website mainly for FIRST, my site (already created) will be for anyone who is interested in technology or robotics
  • the product search system is a database with lots of products from robotshop.ca, hvwtech.com, etc...

i am having a videos section
i will have a CAD and machining section

and im running this website kind of as a business

also i have a professional artist doing graphics so its going to look awesome!

trust me it will not be just another CD

Re: An ultimate robotics website?

user project pages are page where users can upload pictures of their projects, have their own blogs, display their robot parts, hobies, etc...

all in one place

Re: An ultimate robotics website?

Oh, well that's a horse of a different color!!! Good luck, then. Is it possible to post a link sometime before you go live so we can see what it's like?
