OI AC adapter

We lost the AC power unit for the OI. Can anyone tell me what voltage / current the OI needs? AC or DC? What's the rating on your adapter?

Thanks,
Rick Ermer

Re: OI AC adapter

The adapter is 9vdc 1500ma, center is positive.

Beaware of this warning in the OI reference manual:
Quote:
Warning: Only use the AC Adaptor AD48-0901500DU provided with the system. The use of any
other AC Adaptor may damage the Operator Interface and will void the warranty. Additional
AC Adaptors are available from Innovation First at www.ifirobotics.com.
You can get new ones from IFI for $20.

Re: OI AC adapter

Just a note, you won't be using it at competition. There it's either tethered or using the competition port. =)

Yep, technically, there's no time when it's even legal to plug your board in. If you need the power, you're not tethered, and that's a danger. If you're at a match, the competition port supplies all the power you need.

Good Luck!

Re: OI AC adapter

The OI ac adapter is sort of like the OI radio...leave them at home when you go to the competition....

I'm doing a demo and need the specs that Rick was asking for! I believe it is 12v 1500mA. Some one please correct me before I fry my OI.
