Go to Post By the looks, 1114 has already figured out both #1 and #2. They're still behind 71, who is just about done with their robot for the 2012 season, is getting driver practice for 2011, and is working on their robot designs for the 2013 water game. You're still way behind. - EricH [more]

FRC 121 and FTC 655 Déjà vu this past weekend

FRC 121 and FTC 655 experienced some déjà vu this past weekend...

March 1 - This weekend FRC 121 Rhode Warriors had an awesome time competing at the BAE Granite State Regional. The team went 9-1 in qualification to seed 1st. Our strategy and scouting team agreed on picking two great teams. Team 40 - Checkmate and Team 134 - Team Discovery. The alliance battled through some tough finals to win the regional. Team 121 also won a judges award during Friday night awards for sharing our design with a remote rookie team.

March 2 - This weekend FTC 655 Rhode Rage had an awesome time competing at the FTC RI Championship. The team went 6-0 in qualification to seed 1st. Our strategy and scouting team agreed on picking two great teams. Team 154 - Burriville High School and Team 614 - South Providence Met Charter High School. The alliance battled through some tough finals to win the tournament. Team 655 also won the Innovate award for robot design, fit, and function.

2 Comps
2 Wins
2 Judges Awards
2 Medals

I would like to thank all involved with our successes including the volunteers at both events. Great job everyone!

Re: FRC 121 and FTC 655 Déjà vu this past weekend

To add to the other half of the gold sandwich, FTC Team 175 (FRC 40's FTC team) won the CT FTC Tournament and the Innovate Award the week beforehand. 655 was amazing at the CT event, and really made the finals exciting!

We're very proud of our teams and all of 121, 655, and 134's efforts over the past 9 days. See you in Atlanta!

Thanks so much to our partners for the FRC and FTC events. You guys were all awesome, and we couldn't have done it without each and every one of you. We weren't signed up for Atlanta with either team, and now to see both of them get to go is truly spectacular. I've had some great weekends in FIRST, but this one truly takes the cake.

I can't be more proud of our students and our partners for accomplishing something truly amazing. Thanks.
