At first, I couldn't believe it either, but after I thought about it, I wasn't so surprised. He played 17 amazing years and took a lot of hard hits, both on and off the field. He leaves with several NFL records (one that in my opinion will never be broken) and the love of his fans and supporters.

As a life-long Green Bay fan, this will mark a dark day in my life for losing one of my childhood idols to retirement. Favre has left countless memories for football fans everywhere and will go down in history as one of the greatest quaterbacks to play the game. Brett Favre was hands down the greatest quaterback that the Pack ever had (yes even greater than Bart Starr) and deserves to be remembered as so.

Next year is going to be wierd. In my lifetime, Brett Favre has been the only Quarterback to start a regular season game for the Packers. I'm not going to know what to do next year.

Not just sad day in Wisconsin... in my world too haha. After the killer season he had he is gonna leave?! Crazyness!!!!!!! Maybe he's messing with us... but doesn't seem like it *tear* We will just have to wait for the next great QB to come to that team
