Differentiating

How can one tell the difference between the Rate Gyro and the Accelerometer? I am talking about the 2008 version from "divsys."

Well here's the punch line: Gyro's measure angular rotation (twist), and Accelerometers measure acceleration along a linear axis.

Re: Differentiating

Aye, that is correct. However, I am holding both boards, and cannot tell the difference between the two of them. Is there something mounted on one that I can use to differentiate?

Re: Differentiating

Do you mean how can you tell which board is which, by looking at them? The accelerometer board says DAA, the gyro board says YRG

the sensor manual

http://www.usfirst.org/uploadedFiles...sor_Manual.pdf

shows pictures of them
