FIRST has a flying robot.. you should check it out.. it was a placebo in '98 i think (i think it may have only been for NH regional..)..

'tis cool.. FIRST can fly.. we can too.. ;-)

Imagine trying to handle both ball and floppies!

Or having to pick which one you are going for!

The most heard scouting question would be: 'Does your team handle balls or floppies or....'

Although it may not be in the greatest spirit of FIRST, a Robot Derby would be a fun competition. A battle of whose robot could stand up to the most damage that others could put out. Similar to some of the amazing moments witnessed this year, except they would be expected of the teams.
I don't know, just a thought, alot of adrenaline pumping would be involved though.

They have a competition like that already, it's called Robot Wars.

It was actually a PPV event this year.

What some people on my team have been thinking has been small objects that need to be minipulated somehow into a small place... maybe objects like baseballs.

What do you think?
