Two things. First, pits are in the arena. The 1/2 - 1/2 split Dan suggested, machine shop outside on the west loading dock, practice field in the arena. Things will be tighter than Reliant, so be smart about your pit loadout.
Second, if you're planning on taking Beltway 8 from IAH to I-10, it IS a tollway, so bring cash or change. You'll catch 2 toll plazas from I-45 to I-10, totaling $3.00. |

Traffic North South using the I-99 Grand Parkway is also much better if you need to quick food or supplies.
