KC Regional Day One
Like to share a bit of news from the KC Regional. One of the most devoted mentors in the Midwest, Rex Brown, was the winner of the Woodie Flowers award. If anyone is deserving of this, it is Rex. I am so honored and so proud because he is one of the reasons I am involved. He is personally responsible for recruiting around 35 new mentors from our employer, Honeywell.
Rex is an inspiration for not only his Team 1730 student members but the mentors, sponsors, and adult supporters. He is a person that never has a mean word for anyone. Rex is willing to do whatever it takes to help those of us in need. He is a perfect example of professionalism and Woodie will be proud to know his actions and values are being modeled in a person like Rex Brown. Congratulations Rex from all of Team 1987, your sister Team here in Lee’s Summit, MO. Tom |
