[FTC]: Vex color camera use

I was looking at the VEX labs site and saw that they have the color camera for vex. Are these legal for quad quandary, since the cameras are compatible with the VexRed and VexBlue controllers. They also say that these are similar to the ones in the VEXplorer kit, though, and the rules say that vexplorer electrical components can't be used, but is this applicable, since it's not from that kit?
