Re: Looking Forward's real identiy

There is clearly a hidden forum involved here, which, I suspect, the group of "FIRSTers All-over" have access to, and that is where Looking Forward puts together his or her posts. My suspicion is that several people write the actual posts, with the main Looking Forward person having the final say in the actual post. (A contributor/head editor kind of arrangement)

Well, there are Chat rooms that FIRSTers go on to talk about things such as regionals and webcasts. But i dont know if this is something that could be an answer. Maybe

There is no hidden area that this is discussed. That is something that you can take to the bank.

What others may say in PM's is a separate matter. A famous man once said "I know nothing!!!!!".

Re: Looking Forward's real identiy

Compare Looking Forward's posts:

http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=65213
http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=65494

To these posts:

http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=56242
http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=56276
http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=56295
http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=56725
.. and so on.

Jut pay attention to writing style and formatting of the information.

Just like how everyone usually has their own style of written handwriting, everyone also has their own styles of composing ideas and sentence structure, almost as a form of an electronic fingerprint.

And even if these are related, I don't have a problem with it. After all, we all look forward to the great Car Nack's wisdom every year (he even has his own sub-forum!) , even though his identity is not entirely secret.

Pretty sure you're wrong here, Steve. It's in a hidden area.

The person who's account it is has been named in this thread.

That was Sergeant Schultz*. The statement is correct -- he really knew nothing. NOTHING!

* Played by actor John Banner, who was a native of Austria. Ironically, Banner was forced to leave his own country in 1938 to escape Nazi persecution -- he was Jewish.

I believe in intuition and inspiration. Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution. It is, strictly speaking, a real factor in scientific research.

Talking Re: Looking Forward's real identiy

OOOO i totally know how to find out!!
but...
i cant....cuse i dont have access to Chief Delphi's server(s).
But you could use a flagging program to flag any posts by Looking Forward, then add a IP tracking script onto the web site server(s), and then whenever the post was submitted, you could check and see which IP addresses were accessing the site at the time. But since Chief Delphi recieves an large amount of traffic, you would probably have multiple IP's recorded.
SOOO
you would have to wait for like three or four posts by Looking Forward, then cross-reference the results. Then you could use http://www.geobytes.com/IpLocator.htm?GetLocation
to check the locatiopn of Said IP address.
then you could use yellowpages to find out who owns said address.

Whisper, Brandon Martus (one of the administrators) knows who Looking Forward is. Duplicate accounts are normally not allowed, so Looking Forward asked and received special permission to create a second account for this purpose.
