... and the new model encoder is a quadrature encoder: http://www.vexlabs.com/vex-robotics-...oder-kit.shtml. The original, as you know wasn't. And the new one is even the same price.

I've become a big fan of Vex, and I like this year's product line extensions. FIRST is going to have to go a ways to improve on it. I remain cautiously optimistic.

With more than $3,000 in parts and two year's worth of experience in Vex, we are very likely to do some other Vex competitions, and consider FTC (depending on the specifics).
