It varies. For now, during Autonomous mode it displays the robot's relative heading as well as any states or faults that may occur during autonomous (example, dOnE)

It's true that the robot used to display ft/sec during autonomous as well, but since the fire we've had some fun little eh... abnormalities in the autonomous system we're still hammering out.

During Teleoperated mode, the robot displays the combined vector (real) velocity of the robot in ft/sec. For instance: since the robot is differential drive, if it were spinning perfectly in place, the speed would read zero.

The value the display reads can easily be changed by pressing different buttons on the OI panel to read values such as left/right encoder counts, gyro data, arm position, etc.

p.s. We didn't install the voltage conversion circuit until Saturday morning, but there was a huge reduction in the number of times it blanked out due to low battery voltage (fast robot = lots of energy usage).

I can´t believe how right-on these predictions were for Detroit.

[Chickens] will be taking home at least one gold medal

Chickens were just as good as predicted, and did take home a gold medal.

[27 and 47 are] some of the most feared teams in FIRST.

Chiefs and RUSH were among the best robots there, seeding within the top 5.

Unless they can align themselves with 217 or 469, I don't see either of these teams [47 / 27] adding another blue banner to their collection.

After 469&217 were paired, 27 and 47 paired up - however, they were defeated in Finals. However, RUSH had major problems with their drive train, I´m not sure if it still affected them during the finals matches. Congratz to RUSH for winning Chairman´s, though!

If they [469] can pair up with the other huge threat, 217 (like they did in 2006), they could form an unstoppable barrage of trackballs and would all but certainly sweep up the gold.

well... for palmetto, i think that the team to beat will be 1251. each year they come to palmetto, they come to play and they come prepared. im expecting a lot out of the tech tigers here in clemson.

EXACTLY what happened

Predictions weren't totally right, we did get a blue banner . Unfortunately at the last minute 469 surpassed us and took the #1 seed. Otherwise we would have picked chickens and taken the triple crown. (WFA, Chairman's, and robot)

Our drive train problems did not affect our finals matches, however they almost lost us the semis. I feel kind of bad about winning by penalties in that second round, but rules are rules...

All in all, nice predictions. As of Saturday after our last match I was just thinking...Dang he was dead on.
