Re: Like Metal?
This thread lacks Between the Buried and Me. And Protest the Hero.
If you want awesome, search 'Bloodmeat' without the quotes on YouTube. The original video is on there about 30 times. INCREDIBLE song off an incredible album, Fortress. |

Re: Like Metal?
I must agree with you. And I am pretty glad the Protest is playing the Warped Tour this year.

Re: Like Metal?
816 is staying in the Westin, right? We have to get together and rock out to some Protest.

Re: Like Metal?
I'm the only one on my team that listens to Protest, but they're so good. So, Fortess, the general consensus so far is that Bloodmeat is the best track. Thoughts?

Re: Like Metal?
I am sitting here listening to music and I realize something. I want to hear more metal at the competitions. I am cool with poppy music and the techno music. But nothing would get me pumped up more than hearing some metal in the elims.

Re: Like Metal?
They played "Demanufacture" by Fear Factory in NJ (followed by Rage Against the Machine, who is almost metal).

Re: Like Metal?
Really? I didn't hear them. Hopefully there will be some in Philly. A lot easier to hear from those pits than it is in New Jersey.

Re: Like Metal?
I remember watching SVR and seriously hearing like 50 Metallica songs over the weekend.

Re: Like Metal?
I live in Flint MI and we have this nice "little" venue called the Machine Shop and it always hosts some sweet metal bands...
My fav's are: Mushroomhead- they have one of the best live shows I have ever seen. They packed 3000= people in a building that is 75' x 150, totally insane Dope- Another great band to see live, not that much of a metal influence, but impressive non the less Devildriver- Are coming in April, i can't wait, already have my ticket, saw them last year at Ozzfest, one of the biggest pits i have ever seen, 100ft+ circle pit, totally nuts Ozzy- Who cares if he gets up there and forgets half the words to "Mama I'm Coming Home" still and amazing artist, the god father of metal \m/ As Blood Runs Black- Just started listening to them last year, have to say, amazing breakdowns and the drums leave you filling full-filled I Decay- Not many people know of them, they are an AMAZING band that is starting to hit it big, toured with Mushroomhead last year and have defiently left an impression on the metal scene here in MI Cacophonus Incantation- Another Metal that is rising its up the metal scene here in MI. Crazy insane guitars and AMAZING vocals from a kid that looks as though he got beat up everyday in Highschool. Going to be big soon, wait and see |
