Guitar Hero is much better than the guitar portion of Rock Band, however Rock Band is incredibly fun when you're playing with three other people.
Rock Band gives each player a sense of importance. It's really fun and it feels good to play well. You should check out the leaderboards for Roxanne right here. Dropdown Menus: Xbox 360, Band, Score by Song, M - R, Roxanne. My band, M-Town L33T, currently has the 9th highest score on X-box live for Roxanne.  By the way, I was on guitar.
