Re: BEST TEAM IDENTITY

There are alot of teams that are known well, but for me those I recognize from sight/color (not robot performance or community efforts) are:
111 Wildstang - tie-dye everything, you just can't miss it
624 CRyptonite - the "anti-superman" in team and name, I love there capes and they are one of my personal favorites to see
1902 Exploding Bacon - when your mascot explodes, no one forgets you
1266 Devil Duckies - the adopt a ducky program was brilliant, and I never understood, chinese take out boxes!?
233 Pink - the name says it all

More than the capes, 624 CRyptonite ALWAYS has the most RIDICULOUS hair at LSR. each team member has a unique and equally goofy/cool molded green hairdo, from simple spikes to giant coils and one i can only describe as a satellite dish!
They looked so good at LSR this year. drive team: suits and a cape, pit crew:black jumpsuits. and the rest of the team wearing awesome t shirts. Their robot looked as good as the rest of their team, sporting a slick chassis and magnificent claw.
my ups are to 624 for best team image

Re: BEST TEAM IDENTITY

CRyptonite never fails to have the wackiest hair at LSR. Sometimes you can tell when they're coming around the corner because you see a bright green spike of hair first! Combined with their capes, they look like green supermen who had very...creative barbers. Props to team 624 for managing to shock us with their new hair designs yearly.

Gotta say 1717 stands out really well at the reagonals both on and off the field. I missed seeing 100 this year but I had a blast dancing with their hat in Davis 2006.

Re: BEST TEAM IDENTITY

Wildstang immediately lept to mind, followed closely by 233 and 1902.

I am curious, though. How recognozible are our big orange "W"s, orange bumpers, and dressed up drivers wearing *gasp* bright orange pants?

Re: BEST TEAM IDENTITY

I'd rather not add any repeats from others. I notice that many of those mentioned have had an incredibly consistent image over the years, which adds greatly to their prominence on this list. I think I recognize nearly all of the teams mentioned here and they are all definitely have great identities.

In the West Michigan Area, I think the 288 RoboDAWGS deserve recognition from someone outside the team. Not only is their nine year old logo easily recognizable, they've carried the image through the robot design and pit displays. The team seems to make new friendships at whatever event they attend. Their first imagery award (St. Louis 2008) was long overdue. Other WM teams that I think almost anyone can recognize easily at any distance are 107 - The Maroon Platoon of Team ROBOTICS and 141 - The Wobots. There are also several newer teams in the area who seem to be working hard to refine and establish a team identity. Some of them will be making this list in a few years.

Re: BEST TEAM IDENTITY

I'm going to have to say MOE or Pink for most recognizable in appearance, and Exploding Bacon for most recognizable team cheer.
