A friend on another team mentioned something to me that makes me wonder:

His team is trying to improve their drive base from last year, and they needed to order some new Bosch Drill Motors... and they couldn't. The supplier said something about the motor not being available.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Oh, well... that motor would not have done well under water anyway.

My first thought is that FIRST may have sucked up the entire spare inventory of these parts.

My sources inside Bosch tell me that they may be forced to have to ship in parts from Switzerland in order to meet the needs of the FIRST program (no joke). If this is true, perhaps the inventory of the spare parts folks have been raided as well.

How many does he need? Perhaps a veteran team out there has a spare set in their inventory that could be made available. For our own team, I think we have spare motors we could part with but we don't have any drill transmissions or housings.
