Re: 2008 Colorado Regional

On behalf of Team 1625, Winnovation, I would like to thank teams 1592 and 1296 for their aid in securing a victory at the Colorado Regional. You guys worked hard, and played even harder. Also, congratulations to every team that made it to Denver. It was an awesome competition and hopefully one that we will be able to make it to again.

Oh Yeah! Special congrats to team 2083! You were one of our favorite bots there with your kevlar and aspirations to make a shooting hurdle. When you pulled the one off in the elimination rounds, I cheered louder for your team than I had all day for my own.

Re: 2008 Colorado Regional

Had some trouble finding this thread, it finally got bumped

This regional was very interesting, with quite a few local teams the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Everyone seemed to know each other well, and the competition itself seemed to be secondary to making acquiantances and having some good old fun.
Winnovation, your robot did an outstanding job. The finalist and Engineering Inspirational award was very well deserved, especially with your innovative drivetrain. We were very happy to have been on your alliance at least once, where we received the highest score in the regional. haha.
Team Titanium was also another of our favorites. You guys did such a great job designing and manufacturing your robot, it's inspired us to use CAD software more intensively next year. Loved the robot booklet by the way, that was very helpful in understanding how exactly everything was implementated

Thanks a ton Luchador. I remember being paried with you guys during a qualification match and you were a ton of fun to be with.

On behalf of Team Titanium, 1986, I really want to congratulate 1625, 1592, and 1296. You guys performed extremely well and deserved to win the regional. I was honored just to be playing against you in the finals.

A big thanks goes out to 1996 and 1348. You guys were a ton of fun and I was extremely glad we selected you. We put up one heck of a fight, but were still no match for the red alliance.

Re: 2008 Colorado Regional

On behalf of Team 1592, the Bionic Tigers, I would like to thank teams 1625 and 1296 for being our alliance partners during the finals. You all were extremely nice when we were having electrical problems during the quarter finals. Its too bad we wern't at 100% but thanks to you all we still managed to achieve victory.

To teams 1986, 1996, 1348 and all of the other teams that were in the finals, you all put up a heck of a fight and made for some awesome matches. 1986 had a excellent move at the end of our 1st match to knock off the ball that we had placed on the bar. I thought the match was over then i see you sneak through some hidden hole and poke the ball out, that was a sick move and great driving!

Denver was an excellent regional and I would love to come back. If any of you are going to Atlanta we'll see you there, if not then hopefully we will see you somewhere next year!
