The Aggressive Placebo

Here is a little brainchild I have had with the purpose of solving the robot no-show problems, tell me what yout think...
Now many of us who have been around for many years remember (and love) the Placebo. For those of you who weren't around the Placebo was a robot made by first that just drove around the field doing basically nothing in order to fill the gaps in seeding rounds and the elimination tornement. With Alliances the Placebo was no longer needed, however the missing robots from teams who were having problems still appeared thus leaving some teams with just one robot in a match. Of course the system doesn't always work to the advantage of those teams who were left to fend for themselves alone against 2 other robots. I say, what if First could create an agressive placebo. This would literally be a 130lb box on wheels with medium speed and power. What would then happen is when a team is forced to no show, the team would send a driver and a human player out to the field. The driver would control the agressive placebo for the match allowing them to at least play a little defense for the alliance. Then I figure give the team who no showed 1/3rd of the qualification points of that team. Reason being of course to still give teams a reason to get a robot out there. Of course this is not a flawless system, but its an idea.
peace out,
Andy Grady
