Engineer on team #111, Wildstang, from Rolling Meadows & Wheeling HS and Motorola. Posted on 10/3/2000 6:57 AM MST Tell me if this is wrong, but we are desparate. The US market for qualified software engineers / developers is extremely tight. It is very difficult to find experienced people in this field who are looking for work. My group at Motorola that designs the software systems that runs the Nextel communications network is growing so fast that we cannot hire people fast enough. Right now we have openings for 70 SW developers and/or test engineers in my group alone.
