Gee, the thread on those nylon things was quite
interesting...but you're all wrong.

The actual nomenclature for the ones most of us
use is (according to the government supply system):

STRAP TIE DOWN, ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS
Type I MS-3367-?-? Class I
Specification MIL-S-23190 Rev E.

where the ?'s are numbers which yield size info.

Class II units are somewhat different. I've never seen a Class III.

Since these things WERE invented by the military-industrial complex,
we really should use the proper names, don't you think?


Nah, me neither. We just call them cable ties.
